PSL BUILD INFORMATION HOT OFF THE PRESS!
There has been some concern and confusion
over the overall length of the PSL receiver blank.

Our PSL blank was copied from an original PSL receiver and all dimensions regarding the length and the relationship of the stiffening plates for this receiver body are original. There is NO mistake in length of the receiver blank body.

The following information is provided to assist our customers with building an original PSL configuration blank. It is for clarification.
This view shows that a little less than half of the rear trunnion is not in the receiver body. The top rivet for the rear trunnion goes through the stiffening plates and the trunnion but NOT through the receiver AT ALL. The stiffening plates have .064 of material removed so that the plates fit flush to the rear stock.
This view shows where the stiffening plate and the receiver body butt together at the thick portion of the stiffening plate.
These views show the relationship of the stiffening plates to the receiver body. The stiffening plates are meant to be welded into place and the rivets are for anchoring the rear trunnion into place. It is unclear why the original manufacturers/designers of this rifle decided to use the stiffening plates in leiu of designing a longer receiver body but this IS the original design and it is what we provide.
